How do you lift a bin to a position where it can be cleaned?

Commercial bins ready for cleaning

To effectively clean a bin, it needs to be inverted using a bin lift. This is similar to the way a bin wagon lifts a bin for emptying. The key difference, however, is that the bin-washing operative needs to be able to access the inverted bin to clean it.

Having tried many different solutions, we decided the best solution was to build our own bin lifts. In this video, you can see our latest bin lift being tested at our fabrication shop. The lift is versatile enough to hold the inverted bins in various positions to facilitate the cleaning process.

In compliance with EA legislation relating to surface water drains, all the waste water is captured in the hopper at the rear of the vehicle for safe discharge into a foul water discharge point.

We build and use the best bin-washing equipment available in the UK. With new customers in 2024 – including eight NHS Hospitals and six Housing Associations – we have 1,000’s of bins to clean!
